Foodland stocking Coopers’ brew kits ahead of Christmas

Coopers’ DIY Beer Brew Kits will be available across most of Foodland’s 95 stores for the festive season.

In anticipation of a run on the “affordable” brew kits in the lead up to Christmas, the South Australian retailer will be stocking Coopers’ most popular 23lt starter pack for the first time.

Coopers Brewing Products Marketing Manager Scott Harris says sales of the brew kits traditionally rise around this time of year as they make for a great Christmas present.

“And taking into account the escalating cost of living, we expect demand for DIY Beer Brew Kits this Christmas will be the strongest we’ve seen in many years,” he says.

“We know that many South Australian households are doing it tough but still want to enjoy a beer and entertain over the Christmas and New Year’s period.

“With Coopers DIY, you can brew a great tasting beer while saving money. You’ll have plenty of beer to entertain and also earn some bragging rights with your friends and family.”

Foodland Supermarkets General Manager of Merchandise and Strategy Christopher Villani says the Coopers DIY Beer Brew Kits were a novel gift idea and complemented other great South Australian brands lining the shelves this festive season.

“At Foodland, we’re always celebrating the very best of South Australian produce and our favourite local brands. Christmas time is no different and it doesn’t get more South Australian than a Coopers DIY Brew Kit,” he says.

“Now you can cross off your Christmas shopping gift list while you shop for the freshest and best quality produce for your festive feasts. We’re continually finding more ways to increase time spent with family and friends this holiday season.”

Available at a special Christmas promotional price of $99, the kit is promoted as coming with everything you need to start brewing. This includes all ingredients and bottles to produce approximately two-and-a-half cartons of beer.
